Bad Windsheim
Bad Windsheim is the only health resort in Middle-Franconia. This region is a part of northern Bavaria between Nuremberg and Würzburg.
Bad Windsheim is the home of 3 different health waters (thermal springs, salt water and mineral water).
A new in- and outdoor thermal pool-complex was opened with hot springs and a unique salt lake in December 2005 just across the street from the hospital. The entrances of the clinic and the Frankentherme are just 200 m apart. The Frankentherme complex includes a new hotel for visiting families and relatives. Another hotel is located just adjacent to the hospital compound.

The health clinics and recreation areas are located in the northern part of the city, like the large “Kurpark” a vast park with old trees where you can stroll around.
For fans of the golfing there is a 18 hole golf course within visual range of the clinic.

Bad Windsheim was founded over 1250 years ago. During the Middle Ages this town was an important scholar town and scientists went from here to the universities of Hamburg and Düsseldorf. In the romantic old city you can feel the old times become alive.
11.000 people are living in the town. There are sufficient shops for your convenience in the city. Prices are very fair in this region. For more shopping experience it is recommended to visit the big cities of Nuremberg or Würzburg (500.000 resp. 120.000 inhabitants). Both are easy to reach by train which departs from Bad Windsheim. There are hourly connections and the trip lasts about one hour one way. The main stations in Nuremberg and Würzburg are located closely to the shopping areas.
In Bad Windsheim a car rental is also available. With an international driver license one can make his own discovery experience of southern Germany. The traffic density is very low compared to other regions in Germany, but do not underestimate the speed on the German freeways (Autobahn).
